national dish, a daily staple on Korean tables.
• Immerse yourself in one of the city’s most renowned traditional tea houses. Tea here is an ancestral
tradition, often accompanied by “Tteok” (Korean pastry).
• Tasting of Makgeolli, an alcoholic drink made from fermented rice.
• Stroll through Gwangjang Market, one of Seoul’s most famous street food markets.
• Cooking lessons or Kimchi making under the guidance of a chef.
• “Cookin’ Nanta”, a non-verbal comic performance animated to the rhythm of kitchen utensils.
• Evening tasting of small street food dishes.
The WHO (World Health Organization) has recognized Korean cuisine as an
“exemplary nutritionally balanced cuisine”. Kimchi (fermented vegetables) is the
emblem of the country’s gastronomy, with over 300 different recipes, and is one of
the healthiest dishes in the world.
