Day 1 HOUEI SAY – PAKBENG
Welcome by our representative in front of the Laos immigration office and transfer
to a traditional boat for a cruise on the Mekong River.

Day 2 PAKBENG – PAK OU – LUANG PRABANG
Continue the cruise to the ancient royal capital of Luang Prabang. Stopover and visit
the sacred Pak Ou Caves.

Day 3 LUANG PRABANG
Exploration of Luang Prabang, a UNESCO World Heritage Site: visit the old Royal
Palace, Xiengthong Wat, Traditional Arts and Ethnology Centre...

Day 4 LUANG PRABANG: KHOUANG SI FALLS
Discover the daily monk procession, then depart to Khouang Si Waterfalls.

Day 5 LUANG PRABANG - VIENTIANE
Morning stroll through the stalls of the city’s main market with a guide, then
transfer to the restaurant for a cooking class. Transfer to the airport for the flight
to Vientiane.

Day 6 VIENTIANE
Discover the city of Vientiane and its gentle way of life, then visit Xieng Khuan
Buddha Park, a monumental and historic treasure site.

Day 7 VIENTIANE – HINBOUN
Visit Kong Lor Cave and the 7km-long underground river.

Day 8 HINBOUN – SAVANNAKHET
Stop at Thakek, a town on the Thai border, and visit its historic heritage, including
ramparts and French colonial houses. Discover Savannakhet’s rich colonial past.
Stroll through the town.

Day 9 SAVANNAKHET – PAKSONG
Visit Wat Rattanalangsi, a religious center built in the mid-20th century. Drive to Bolaven
Plateau and the fertile Paksong region. Stop at Tad Fane and Tad Yeuang Waterfalls.

Day 10 PAKSONG – BOLOVENS PLATEAU – CHAMPASSAK
Visit a coffee plantation. Excursion to Bolaven Plateau, known for its picturesque
landscapes and ethnic communites. Visit Tha Teng market to experience the daily
life and the charming Khaleum Village.

Day 11 CHAMPASSAK
Visit the site of Wat Phou, a pre-Angkorian temple built in the 11th century.

Day 12 CHAMPASSAK – KHONE ISLAND – KHONG ISLAND
Board a boat for an excursion into the labyrinth of waterways forming Siphandone’s
tropical paradise, “The 4,000 Islands”. Visit the islands of Det and Som for an insight
into the local way of life. Discover the Liphi Falls.

Day 13 KHONG ISLAND – KHONE PHAPENG – PAKSE
Cruise upstream to Don Kho Island, where silk weaving is an art handed down from
generation to generation. Learn how the island is organized and structured, with
rice fields, ghost lands and bamboo forests.

Day 14 PAKSE - DEPART

This program combines perfectly with Thailand. It is also possible to offer it for Laos
only, with arrival in Luang Prabang.
