ESSENTIALS OF TUKMENISTAN
6 days / 5 nights

This 6-day program in Turkmenistan is a condensed version of the country, bringing together all its aspects:
from Ashgabat, the capital, to Darvaza in the Karakum desert, via the Syunt Hasardag nature reserve. This
tour guarantees an intense and colorful journey!

Day 1 ASHGABAT
Welcome by our representative at the airport,
transfer and check-in at the hotel.
Visit the city of Ashgabat, the white and green city
with the Constitution monument, the Independence
monument and park...

Day 2 ASHGABAT - TURKMENBASHI - YANGYKALA - BALKANABAT
Transfer to Ashgabat airport for the flight to Balk Dar

Turkmenbashi. Quick visit of the city and drive to
the Yangykala “fortress of fire” canyons. Then on to
Balkanabat. Ashg

Day 3 BALKANABAT - KARRYKALA - NOKHUR - ASHGABAT
Depart to Karrykala via the Syunt Hasardag nature
reserve. Drive to the mountain village of Nokhur. The
Nohkuris who populate this village are very different
from other Turkmen tribes. Visit a large tree and one
of the cemeteries, then return to Ashgabat.

Day 4 ASHGABAT - DARVAZA
Visit the Carpet Museum, featuring designs by the
Tekke, Yamud, Sarik and Chodor tribes. Discover the
Darvaza gas crater. The region is rich in natural gas
and the crater has been burning for over 50 years.
Overnight accommodation in a yurt or in private
tents.

Day 5 DARVAZA - ASHGABAT
In the afternoon, visit the fortress of Nisa, one of the
oldest cities of the Parthian Empire, a great power
from the middle of the 3rd century BC to the 3rd
century AD. Later, visit a stable to see the national
pride of the Turkmen people: the Akhalteke horses,
the most beautiful in the world.
