ESSENTIALS OF UZBEKISTAN
8 days / 7 nights
This 8-day program in Uzbekistan is a compendium of the country in all its aspects: from Tashkent, the
capital, to Bukhara in the central south, via Samarkand, the country’s second most populous city. This tour
guarantees an intense and colorful journey!
Day 1 TASHKENT
Welcome by our representative at the airport,
transfer and check-in at the hotel.
Day 2 TASHKENT - BUKHARA
Tour of the city, its mausoleums and medersas.
Continue to Chorsou, the capital’s oldest market, and
the Tashkent metro, the first in Central Asia. Visit the Ur
Urgenchgench
Museum of Applied Arts. Transfer to the airport for

Day 3 BUKHARA Bukhar
Visit medersas, mosques and mausoleums. Stroll
through the central market. Visit to the Poi-Kalon
architectural complex, featuring Bukhara’s highest
minaret and the largest mosque, as well as its most
beautiful medersa.
Day 4 BUKHARA - SAMARKAND
Visit outside the city to discover the Bakhaouddin Naqshbandi complex, one of the major pilgrimage sites. Continue to
the summer residence of Bukhara’s last emirs. Drive to a village to visit the tombs of the descendants of the Prophet
Muhammad. Depart by speed train to Samarkand.
Day 5 SAMARKAND
A day devoted entirely to exploring the city. Visit Registan Square, with its three breathtaking medersas. Then, on to
the Bibi-Khanym mosque. Explore the Chakhi-Zinda architectural complex.
Day 6 SAMARKAND - SHAHRISABZ - SAMARKAND
Drive to Shahrisabz, the ancient Kesh and birthplace of Temur the Great. Visit the city and its mosques and mausoleums.
In the early afternoon, return to Samarkand.
Day 7 SAMARKAND - TASHKENT
Visit the Observatory of Ulugh Beg, one of the greatest astronomers of his time. Continue to a mausoleum, and on
to the village of Konighil to visit the Samarkand paper workshop, which uses ancient techniques to make paper from
mulberry bark. Transfer to the station, and depart by speed train to Tashkent.
