The many golden temples, the monks wearing the traditional saffron-colored kesa, and the scent of incense
are all part of the Thai landscape. This escapade, do not only allows you to discover the most emblematic
places of worship, but also to take part in a procession and monk blessing ceremony.
OUR HIGHLIGHTS
• Visit Wat Pho, home to the famous Reclining Buddha, at the heart of Thailand’s largest monastery.
Discover Wat Arun, named after Arune, the Indian goddess of dawn. The style of this monument, of
Khmer origin, is unique in Thailand.
• Excursion to Ayutthaya, the ancient capital, famous for its archaeological ruins and a UNESCO World
Heritage Site.
• Exploration aboard a traditional long-tail boat for a cruise on the Chao Phraya River, the “River of Kings”.
• Meeting with a monk and blessing ceremony.
Thailand is over 90% Theravada Buddhist. There are also Muslim, Hindu and
Christian minorities, all of which greatly influence the country’s culture.
